All Starbucks espresso varieties are made from 100% arabica beans and, when ground, they are delicious.

They’re all pretty good. If you’re looking for a specific roast flavor, it’s probably best to make your blend with the Starbucks beans or buy them over the internet if they don’t sell them at your local store. Some people out there love one type of Roast better than all others, but those folks are rare. I think most people would be content drinking any of these coffees from time to time, so try and see which one is your favorite flavor!

There’s not much difference between Starbucks and other coffees that are made using the same methods.

I would recommend choosing a coffee based on your preference for acidity, body, sweetness, and flavor intensity.

If you like it darker with more body but less acidity and sweetness, choose a dark roast blend such as Dark French Roast or Full City Roast. If you want it lighter with more edge but a more petite body and sweetness, choose an Americano or Vintage Blend Arabica light-medium roast blend such as Breakfast Blend Medium Roast.

Whatever beans I’m drinking currently is usually my favorite, but that might not be what tastes best to you — so check out some of the different varieties! And remember, if you’re not sure which blend is best for you, then let your favorite barista know about any of the issues that I mentioned above, and they should be able to help you find your favorite!

What is the difference between Starbucks Blonde Roast and regular coffee?

The thing that makes Starbucks blonde Roast different from other coffees is that we roast it so much lighter than medium and dark roasts. Most coffee companies do a dark roast, which means they roast the beans to make them taste more bitter, really bringing out the flavors of the bean. Then you have medium roasts that still bring out some bitterness but are less intense and light roasts that don’t bring out the offense as much.

Blonde Roast is coffee roasted even lighter than medium, so you get a very natural tasting coffee with delicate sweetness and body that isn’t overshadowed by intensity like darker roasts. We also use Arabicas from every region of the world to give it an incredible flavor, which provides fantastic richness, balance, and depth.

Our blonde Roast uses a Full City Roast technique that gives it more depth than most other blonde roasts out there without changing the flavors in any way. It’s also completely delicious and has consistently ranked #1 in customer loyalty surveys among our espresso blends!

Blonde Roast is not as acidic as Dark French Roast or Starbucks Espresso Roast, and it’s not as smooth and balanced as the lighter roasts such as Starbucks Breakfast Blend. It’s a unique blend that we think is delicious. Want to try it out? Brewing Coffee at Home:

Espresso, Cappuccino, and Coffee Drinks Made Easy, by our Director of Education, Kat Odell, has an entire chapter dedicated to this question. In her book, she tells readers how to find coffee that will be easy to steam and extract espresso from. In particular, she mentions Starbucks Blonde Roast coffee as one of her personal favorites for espresso drinks! (But don’t take just our word for it, read the book!) Starbucks Blonde Roast coffee is an excellent choice for espresso drinks because it has a bright flavor that is lively and inviting, so it tastes great by itself with no additions. I want to buy some coffee beans to brew at home, but there are so many options! How can I choose which beans to try?

Great question. When choosing coffee beans to purchase and brew at home, you might want to buy some of our Blonde Roast for a couple of reasons. The light Roast will not be very bitter or acidic, making it a good choice for those who want to add milk, cream, or other flavors into the mix. It also has a smooth texture and will brew a cup that is not overpowered by bitterness or acidity like some darker roasts can be. Happy tasting!

Why is this coffee called blonde Roast?

Our blonde Roast is medium-dark, so it’s just a step away from our darker roasts. But what does that mean exactly? Well, the darkness of a coffee bean is measured by its roast level. A light roast is often called blonde for this reason. We call our popular blend Starbucks Blonde Roast because it’s in the middle.

The name “blonde roast” describes the color, flavor, and body of the coffee. The name is also associated with fine wine, where it refers to a lighter style of red wines that are typically lower in tannins than other types of red wine. Tannins are bitter compounds found in the skin and seeds of grapes used to make red wine.

I thought all Starbucks coffee was dark roast coffee?

While most Starbucks coffees are dark roasts, there are a few exceptions. Our blonde Roast is one of them. It’s a medium-dark blend with an incredibly bold flavor and smooth finish when brewed correctly, but it is also very beany and delicious. We think you’ll love it!
