So you want to become a full time blogger in one year? This is the ARTICLE where we show you how we would do it. We have had some blogs grow really, really fast, but a year is hard work to get there. That’s why we call our course project 24 a two-year plan to get there. But this is how you might accelerate it. If you’re just in overachiever, how would we do it? All right. So I think the easiest way to do this is to just start from the beginning. What is it that we need to do right up front. We’ve talked about how long it takes a new content to rank organically, and that’s just the best way for content to get sustainable, long term traffic.

So in Quarter1, we’re setting up the site and we are not spending more than a day setting up the site. You just get it, go and get a nice theme on it and move on. Yeah, that’s got to happen fast. You can’t mess around with your banding for a week, and what colours will I choose needs to be up there and go to the next one. This is the part that will just make you hate your life.

You’d have to produce about 100 to 150 articles in three months. That would be very aggressive. I’ve never produced 150 in three months, but we have done like 50 and whatever, six weeks. So it could be done even if you’re spending only 2 to 3 hours a day, I would say. But the real problem is you’re just gonna be so burned out after that, That’s just really, really aggressive. But that’s if you’re D I Y ing this thing, what if you had to $3000 to invest, You could buy three quarters of those articles and then we still recommend that you still do a lot of the writing yourself.

The blog owner cares about this way more than any freelancer, but you can get to that number pretty realistically, either with blood, sweat and tears,or your some investment. And the content that you’re going to buy it can be pretty good. There are a lot of good text brokerages out there that will just write articles for you, but you’re going to want to read and tweak those articles. we have found that those, that kind of content , does need a little bit of personal touch, so just know that you don’t get to hand it off 100%, but that’s probably going to be the best way to get 150 articles. The other thing is as soon as you have done the research for an article, whether you write it yourself or you’re passing it off to somebody else, you immediately sit down and hit record on a camera and you make a basic Youtube video covering the same content.

Youtube is something that everybody skips. We always talk about creating your website and how to market it and stuff. That’s what this whole channel is about. And usually we’re people like they’ll listen to us as soon as we’re talking about the articles. Then, as soon as we talk about Youtube, their zones out now, people are intimidated by Youtube and that’s why you just can’t overthink this. We have crappy videos recorded on a cellphone that have got to almost a million views. That’s incredible marketing if you want to do this. And then also Pinterest, Pinterest for most website topics. There’s gonna be some way to use it and it’s just a great way to get traffic, learn Pinterest, learn how to do it right. If you need to invest some time and maybe even a little bit of money into a course to learn Pinterest, right? It’s going to be worth it. You should do it all right,.

That was just to turn fun. Now though, we, the reason we’re not writing at all the rest of this time is because it takes about 8 months for an article to reach close to its peak of where it will on google. And so what’s the purpose of writing an article in 9th month September? It’s not gonna get us closer to the goal. So this is only if you’re like, I must earn $4,000 a month in December, then do this. But otherwise it would make sense to keep writing.

Probably slow down a little bit at that point though. But you that kind of a launch is going to get you to that goal, but it’s about the only way to get there. Alright, this quarter, mostly what we’re going to focus on is optimizing our affiliate income.

So we just wrote a bunch of articles. We didn’t take any time to go find the perfect affiliate products to go on commission junction and share sale and see what’s out there that we could be linking to. Now. We’re going back to all the, all that content and we’re putting those links and and selling those links within the body of the content. We also work on some interlinking, you know, you wrote an epic post at the very end of the 150 articles. Well maybe 10 of the little tiny articles should be linking to it. And so we’d want to go back to those little tiny articles in link to that epic content that you happen to write later. So it’s a lot of optimization.

Yeah. If you can get that affiliate at this point, the only real way you’re going to be making money is affiliate. Um, well, that’s why we’re not gonna worry about the other forms yet. Then we’re gonna jump into making some Epic Youtube videos. We talked about the quick Youtube videos up front. Um, those are gonna be a great way to get started and just get a lot of good youtube content up early on. And I would probably start publishing those pretty fast. Having a regular publishing schedule is a good thing, But you’re not going to want to wait, you know, to take three years to get the 150 YouTube videos out there.

So what I would probably do is maybe, um, scheduled into a week or maybe just put out, like, the 1st 10 all at once, and then start publishing on a regular basis. But in Q two, we’re gonna make some better Youtube videos like this, like this chalkboard and my goodness, it’s been a saga trying to make this thing. Um, but it’s doing something that is just more interesting in your videos. We ate the world’s hottest pepper and Ricky threw up, were driven RV, Ricky climbed a mountain. Our videos were doing things to try to make it interesting and to really make the video stand out. And so that’s the kind of thing you can start doing here in addition, start going on Reddit and start posting your articles, get some of that early traffic to your site and start getting doing some industry outreach.

I’m not talking about trying to get a bunch of links. I’m talking about becoming relevant in your industry. Go check out other websites. Go check out if there are some, it’s or just events that are taking place or if there are, um, forum Board, just be very active. So there’s a group of 100 200 people who know you, my may be interested in what you have for them. In Q four. My mom started a quilt shop and you know what she did is she started going out to a lot of the quilting forums and YouTube groups and she just became present. And when somebody asks a question, she answered the question as herself and people got to where they started to really like her and really trust her.

And then occasionally she would post like, oh, by the way, I have an answer for that. Or somebody would say, hey, where do I find this product? Oh well you can find it over here on my website and really even the administrators of those Youtube groups, they love her because she’s helping their users, but their users have now become her customers. There’s no reason that you shouldn’t be doing that as well. In Q two is going to be the right time to do that. And when you outrage to those people, you better get him on an email list that we’re going to begin.

Yeah. Then we move to Q three. Q three is really, where were things probably are starting to get exciting. We’re gonna start seeing some of that traffic starting to come. There’s at least some movement on your site. And so there’s gonna be some optimization to do. Once you see this post is going to be popular, you may want to add affiliate links into it, etcetera. But mostly we’re preparing here for Q four. That’s right. So Q three, we’re going to take the time to make an info product. We talked in our video last week about one info products are um, an info product is just some information that you’re going to sell. It can be an e book, it can be a video course and audio course. Just a digital download of some kind that provides some information.

And maybe digital product may have been the right word here because you may also be selling an Excel sheet. That’s a calculator for something you do. I sold light room presets for years. A little piece of software that you made, whatever it is, some kind of digital product that we can get ready and then knowing that that’s coming, that you’re building, this is your product. You have to have to have to just plan who is going to be buying this thing. So you build that Youtube Youtube channel, you go crazy on that thing and you get them on an email list. We’re building momentum. Every person you get on that email list is going to be a potential sale coming up.

Same thing with a Youtube channel, if you can get a subscriber based on that channel and you get people that watch your videos week after week after week, you go out and you put out a Youtube video with some nice helpful information in it. But in that video you say, I am launching my product or maybe you say, hey guys, I’m gonna host a webinar next week. We’re going to do a Youtube live for 30 minutes. And in that Youtube live, you’re going to launch that product. So having a good Youtube subscriber base that you’ve been building up all year is what’s going to lead you to queue for

Q for the launch? There is so much to this, you’re gonna have your product ready, you’re gonna figure out how to sell it, how to actually deliver the files and what, what to price it, things like that, but most of your time is going to be figuring out your sales funnel. Um what exactly you’re going to do? Maybe you do a webinar launch, maybe you launch it right on your Youtube channel, you send an email to the list. Do you build it up before, or is it a sudden thing? There’s just a whole lot of science to this. Um, but if you’ve built up a good audience, like this is how you test

how good you did on this. If you did a crappy job, this is gonna be mighty disappointing. Uh and if you really helped a lot of people and we’re sticky about it, this is going to be the most exciting day of your career. And that’s what’s key when you help people. People feel that they feel good about that. Some people will say they just won’t show any appreciation, but a lot of people will, they’ll want to show appreciation, they like you, they’ll trust you. And just the fact that you gave them that help through those first,

you know, three quarters of the year is going to mean something to them. So when you come out and say, hey guys, by the way, all that free stuff I gave you, Yeah, that was cool. Um what do you see this? Wait till you see this, This digital product that created, this is going to solve these problems for you man. People are going to love it. Launch is really exciting. I mean I’ve done $250,000 in less than a week when I did a product launch. It can be really exciting. I’ve also worked for a long time and launched something and just crickets. So it’s tough. But if you get it right, it can absolutely launch your business forward. So what does this look like at the end of the year?

This is our estimated income breakdown for what a site like this is going to do by the end of the year. We’re expecting that a site of this size is going to be able to do about $1,500 and adds that’s using just kind of an average revenue per 1000 page views, just kind of an average number. And assuming that you’re gonna be able to get 50 200,000 page views a month On your website. That may seem kind of daunting. But the fact that you wrote 150 articles, that’s what’s going to get you there. The fact that you did YouTube that you did Pinterest, that’s going to get you there. That means that each article only needs to bring in around 700 page views a month. And that would be an underperform for what we usually

shoot for, especially if they’ve had that full three quarters of the year. Exactly. We usually like to see that an article each article brings in about 1000 page views per month on average, some way better in some way worse. We also think that you’re gonna be able to do about 1250 an affiliate in 1215 info product. Well, that’s $1,250. Again, those might be pretty conservative estimates if you’ve done a good job here. And obviously this is like, this is so muddy because it’s like, it totally depends on what your website is. The whole thing could be info product. I mean it just totally depends on what you create. But the purpose of this is to show how it really could be done. It would be back breaking work. It would be difficult and you couldn’t make a lot of mistakes.

But if you did put in the work, there’s a good chance that you could get there And I want to share. Just kind of just one sort of case. We did an interview several months ago with one of our students on this channel. You can go watch it at six months in, he was at $3,000 and he was only doing that with an affiliate product. He placed ads on the website and it increased it from there. So this, you know, he was, he was a case that was just above average for sure. But this is totally doable if you’re willing to put in that we’ve seen this done in less than a year, but that is not normal. It’s very hard to do.

It takes this kind of concerted and focused and planned effort to be able to get there at least to be able to guarantee yourself to get there. So two things Way too often and the reason we even made this video was because of this way too often. We hear people say I’ve been working on my website for seven months. I just don’t have any traffic and we go look at it. It’s like it took you seven months to write 25 articles. That’s just your growth curve is gonna, it’s a snail that’s just gonna take so long now. Hey, finishing is finishing and if you’re slow, whatever you’re still moving, that’s great, keep moving.

But if you are seeing results that are discouraging you when you when you hear us talk about numbers and you’re like, how did they do that? And it’s discouraging you remember? That’s why that’s why is we’re producing the content. We’re going we’re writing until we’re blue in the face for two months straight and that’s why we’re seeing the quick growth once the articles hit. So it’s it’s discouraging that you may say I’m not moving fast enough, but it’s also really encouraging to know that’s maybe why I’m not seeing the success yet. I wasn’t blue in the face from writing.
